A Precinct Organizer (P.O.) is the representative of the Democratic Party in your neighborhood. A PO helps neighbors learn about elections, issues, and candidates, and also brings neighborhood issues and interests back to the Party.

Attend your State House District meetings
Work to elect Democratic Party nominees by registering voters and helping to Get Out the Vote in your precinct
Represent your precinct in the Democratic Party. This may include electing replacement legislators or other elected officials.
Attend Caucus in an even-numbered year, run for the position and get elected by your Precinct, or
Contact your House District team to ask if there is a current vacancy. Each precinct is legally allowed two POs. If both spots are filled, you can still get involved and you will have an opportunity to run for PO at the next caucus.
