A Precinct Organizer (PO) is the representative of the Democratic Party in your neighborhood. A PO connects with neighbors to help them learn about elections, issues, and candidates.
To be a Democratic Precinct Organizer you must:
Be a registered or pre-registered Democrat living in the precinct
Either be elected at a Caucus or ask us if there's an opening in your precinct
Get to know the precinct organizers & other volunteers near you at your local House District (HD) meeting!
Find your HD number here & find your HD meetings on our calendar.
Attend Caucus in an even-numbered year, run for the position and get elected by your Precinct, or
Contact the Chair of your house district to ask if there is a current vacancy. Each precinct is allowed two POs. If both spots are filled, you can still get involved and you will have an opportunity to run for PO at the next caucus.
Click on your house district here and see the current list of officers. You can contact either your house district's email address or our county party's: info@arapahoedems.org
Some of the duties and responsibilities of POs:
Represent the Party at the Precinct level
Together with other POs and volunteers, educate voters about our issues and candidates
Attend your House District meetings
Be a voting member of the Central and Vacancy Committees of the Arapahoe County Democratic Party and attend their meetings
Work to elect Democratic Party nominees by registering voters and helping to Get Out the Vote in your precinct
