The Arapahoe County Democratic Party starts with voters and is built by voters. Our party work is done by voters getting together to do something more: meeting each other, talking to neighbors, finding out who would be a good fit in a local office. Each one is a volunteer. Neighborhood action is where good governing begins.
The parts of our work that cost money are supported by voters. Our local party is fortunate to have both recurring and occasional donors, who provide us with meeting spaces, materials, and services we use year-round.
"You. Me. Them. Everybody. Everybody." *
No matter where you live, what you look like, who you love, or how you worship, your Democratic neighbors are fighting to keep you Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise. And Free.
"If you are willing to fight for someone you don't know, you are welcome here." -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, March 21, 2025 in Denver
Democrats strive to improve healthcare for everyone:
• Reducing drug costs & expanding access to insurance.
• Ensuring reproductive freedom, keeping care decisions between doctor & patient.
• Protecting the environment that affects our well-being
Democrats fight for our economic well-being:
• Building a strong foundation for our families: living wages, family tax credits, helping people own a home.
• Working locally to support small businesses.
• Investing in climate solutions now to prevent much higher costs later.
Democrats support quality education at every level:
• Fighting to pay teachers & provide services for every district.
• Making college & trade programs accessible to everyone.
• Keeping our schools & campuses safe, so the focus can remain on learning.
Democrats believe we should all be free to:
• Cast our votes & have them counted.
• Decide for ourselves how to create & grow our families.
• Worship how, when, & if we choose.
• Negotiate with our employers on a level playing field.
