Candidates who share our values / Candidatos que comparten nuestros valores

City councils affect our lives every day with decisions on housing, roads and transportation, public health and safety. These elections are non-partisan; party labels are not on the ballot. Below are candidates who share our values.

Los ayuntamientos afectan nuestras vidas todos los días con decisiones sobre vivienda, carreteras y transporte, salud pública y seguridad. Aurora Ballot Questions / Preguntas sobre la boleta electoral de Aurora

The Arapahoe County Democratic Party suggests voting YES on all four Aurora ballot questions:

3A is about the wording of official documents. It simply removes "his/her" and uses position titles.
3B requires police and fire probationary periods to be extended for the same amount of time as any leave taken during probation, and gives the Chief ability to pass someone over for promotion, with cause, and subject to civil Service appeals.
3C permits Aurora Fire to create a lateral academy as the Police have currently.
3D allows for more deputy chiefs and commanders to be appointed as the department grows to maintain an appropriate management to staff ratio.

3B, 3C, and 3D are supported by Aurora Police and Fire.

El Partido Demócrata del Condado de Arapahoe sugiere votar SÍ a las cuatro preguntas de la boleta electoral de Aurora:

3A se refiere a la redacción de los documentos oficiales. Simplemente elimina "él/ella" y utiliza títulos de posición.
3B requiere que los períodos de prueba de la policía y los bomberos se extiendan por la misma cantidad de tiempo que cualquier licencia tomada durante el período de prueba, y otorga al Jefe la capacidad de pasar a alguien por alto para un ascenso, con causa justificada y sujeto a apelaciones del Servicio Civil.
3C permite a los Bomberos crear una academia lateral como lo ha hecho actualmente la Policía.
3D permite nombrar más subjefes y comandantes a medida que el departamento crece para mantener una proporción adecuada de gestión y personal.

3B, 3C y 3D cuentan con el apoyo de la Policía y los Bomberos de Aurora.
